chaoticevelyn submitted: I saw your tardis cover and it is amazing! I love how you used the Tunisian crochet. I have a question, how did you changed colors so smoothly? Often when I do, the color from the previous row appears.

I watched a lot of tutorials on youtube, so I’m not sure if I can explain what I did very well since I experimented until it looked right, but this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=muoovamC5Es&NR=1&feature=endscreen has some good tips about changing colors.

I found that thinking about each row as having two passes helps. There’s the first pass working left to set up the loops, and the second pass working right to finish the row. I hope that helps a little!

Here is the finished product from the excel pattern I posted earlier!

I had to adjust the previous pattern to make it smaller, so download this updated pattern instead for the 10x7in size. I know it looks a bit squashed but it works out!

My sister loved it! I gave it to her for graduation to hold her samsung tablet :D

I'm trying to get rid of some yarn I'm not going to use

I have enough yarn already so it’s time to clear out my stash!

I’m never going to use rug yarn…but maybe someone will?

I’m mostly just trying to get rid of it, I don’t care how much it sells for :D

EDIT: Gone! In two hours. Maybe I should start selling all my crafts on ebay now too…

Discovered the joys of pattern design using excel!

This is based off THIS blanket size pattern but I made mine smaller (it’s supposed to be 7in x 10in but I haven’t finished it yet so I’m not sure) and I’m trying color work for the first time with Tunisian crochet, the lines are very precise!

I will post the finished project later!
